What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are lab reports that verify a product’s potency and purity. They include test results for the following compounds:
- Cannabinoid Content (% of CBD, THC, CBG etc.)
- Pesticide Residues
- Heavy Metals
- Microbial Contamination
- Residual Solvents
Issued by independent, state-licensed third-party testing laboratories, these reports are generally required in order for a product in regulated state markets to hit the shelves. COAs verify the strength and safety of cannabis products.
